Momojiro « The First Star » (Bunta Sugawara) et son partenaire Jonathan (Kinya Aikawa) se rendent dans la préfecture d'Iwate pour transporter des pommes et du poisson. Naturellement, Momo se trouve un rival en la personne de « Big99 » (Toshio Kurosawa), un camionneur obsédé par les Etats-Unis qui aime transporter son chien, un Jack Russell, partout où il va. En chemin, Momo tombe amoureux d'une mère célibataire veuve qui travaille dans un verger de pommiers (la charmante Naoko Otani).
